Simplify Redesign (Client project via Product Space) [Apr-Jun 2023]

My team of 5 was tasked with redesigning the Simplify jobs page.

We started this project by conducting user research: testing the current UI, asking preliminary questions, designing unbiased questions. Then we wrote questions and conducted user interviews.

With the data we gathered, we created affinity mappings to visualize the key insights we found and translate them into design goals. We also set up a design system to ensure unity and standardization.

From there, I was in charge of the expanded job card redesign. I started with some lofi options, keeping in mind that college users prioritized job information such as skills and location and didn’t have as much need for company information.

After meeting with my teammates, I took in feedback such as adjusting the bookmark feature to not interfere with the job posting, and also explored having the company information has a pop up or collapsable component. Then I moved to the hifi stage.

After a few more iterations of sharing feedback with my team, we showcased our hifi’s to the CEO for feedback. During this session, we highlighted a key issue of how to present the company information: side by side or separately? Pop up or collapsable?

Roomie - Product Space capstone project [2022]

After a quarter-long series of weekly product-related workshops led by our Product Space advisors, I worked in a team of three to design our own app. Introducing Roomie - the essential moving app for UCLA students as they’re moving into their first apartment.
